How Laser Hair Removal Works
Laser hair removal works according to the principle of selective photothermolysis. Your technician will apply a carefully timed pulse of laser light to your skin. This light passes through the skin into the hair follicle, where it is absorbed and converted into heat. This heat kills the hair follicle, so you’ll never see hair from that particular follicle again.
Laser hair removal is a process. Though you will see result after one treatment, you will need multiple consistent treatments for the best, long lasting results. This is because hair grows in stages, and only hairs in the “growth” phase can be treated. The number of treatments you’ll require also varies in accordance with the coarseness of hair in the treatment area, depths of the follicles, density of the follicles, and more. We offer packages of 6 treatments and individual touch ups if needed.
Are you a good candidate?
White, silver, blonde and red hair do not have a dark pigment and the laser will not 'see' the follicle. Is your hair brown or darker?
Laser Genesis for Schertz, TX
Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser treatment that restores skin tone and treats fine lines and wrinkles, scars, large pores and active acne. This heat-based laser stimulates the body’s natural healing processes to boost collagen growth resulting in a more youthful skin tone and texture. This treatment is especially effective in treating rosacea and both acne and other scars. The treatment usually requires about 3-5 treatments, depending on the desired effects, but has zero downtime or recovery.
What does Laser Genesis treat?
Acne, Redness & Rosacea, Large Pores, Scars from Acne, Surgery or Burns, Uneven Skin Texture, Inflammatory Acne, Age/Brown Spots, and Wrinkles
Laser Genesis is a non-ablative Nd:YAG laser that uses heat to kill bacteria on and under the skin, preventing future acne outbreaks. The heat also penetrates deep enough into the skin, to stimulate the natural production of collagen, which shrinks pores, evens skin tones, and increases the speed of cell turn over.

Limelight intense Pulse Laser for Schertz, TX
Intense Pulsed Light Treatment (IPL), also known as intense pulse light treatment, can be used to treat many skin conditions like sun damage, age spots, acne scars, rosacea, wrinkles, and so much more. It does so by keeping the top layer of skin intact and getting into the deeper layer of the skin where most problems live.
IPL is unlike laser treatments because the coverage is much larger which makes treatment a lot quicker. In most cases people see immediate results, and there is no visible reaction on the skin. Some people may look slightly red after treatment,
but it should go down within half an hour.
Be sure to heed the following before you come in for your treatment:
Protect your skin from UV exposure for 4-6 weeks before treatment. This means no tanning, and you must protect your skin with long clothing, sunscreen, and other preventative measures.
Do not apply a fake tan or spray tan for at least 2 weeks before your treatment. Fake tans stain your outer skin cells, which will cause your skin to absorb more of the IPL than is meant.
Stop using skin bleaching/depilatory creams for at least one week before IPL treatment.
Stop using AHA creams, glycolic or salicylic peels for at least one week prior to IPL treatment.
Immediate After Care (24 Hours After Treatment)
Do not expose your skin to the sun or to tanning beads.
Use sunblock with both UVA and UVB protection.
Do not use depilatory, AHA, glycolic or salicylic creams.
Use only tepid water (NOT hot) when bathing or showering.
Do not take part in heat treatments, like the sauna.
Do not swim in chlorinated pools or spa baths.
If your underarms have been treated, do not use deodorant.
Do not use highly scented soaps or lotions, perfumes, etc.
Long-Term After Care
Wear sunscreen! Make sure your sunscreen has UVA and UVB protection.
Avoid excessive sun exposure to begin with. Cover up and always be sun-safe.
